dead island multiplayer not working
10,520. Sep 28, 2013. #2. Did you buy the digital version of the game or you just downloaded a pirated version ? The multiplayer doesn't work on the pirated version and the pc community doesn't support piracy so I can't really help you with that but in case you bought the game, then the multiplayer can be accessed from the game menu. TheYeah nah just host a game yourself - there aren't servers to begin with. When you're in game press 'esc' and look for the 'game lobby' option if you want to join your friends. Or just get them to send you an invite through steam. The same goes for them, so long as you set your game type to 'cooperative' under the 'online' tab in your options
Do we both need Xbox Live membership for the multiplayer to work or does it support local network game hosting? I know with Halo Infinite we were able to do local network co-op without Live memberships but can't figure out if Dead Island 2 has the same thing and I don't want to buy two copies just to find out we can't.

Just get the game on steam, launch it once, then use your firewall to block steam connection and refund it. Game will stay in your library.
