When we make a nether portal in overworld it connects to nether. But when we make a second portal in the over world it conncets to the first portal that spawned in the nether. So we can not get more than one nether portal inside of the nether. Every time we build a new one in over world it connects to the first portal that spawned in the nether
I want a new portal so I can have a better chance at finding a nether fortress. Therefore I made my new portal at X: 447, Y: 68, Z: 900. This obviously is more than the 128 blocks rule, but it still didn't work. I went through the portal, which sent me to the same nether portal that was created from the original overworld portal I made.

You’re playing on Bedrock edition. it may be that you are playing on a server with the nether turned off purposefully, but then usually the portal doesnt light at all. check if you have a parrot on your shoulder and if you have then make the parrot dismount before you jump through.

My nether portal spawned me under a huge lake of lava. I’ve tried digging up but there’s just lava. I’ve dug straight for a couple of minutes and then up but still lava. I’ve also tried to change the location of my nether portal but it still takes me to the one underground. This is weird because my nether portal in the overworld is
