Gotham Knights isn't an Arkham Knight sequel, despite what a few choice lines from the game's reveal trailer may suggest. The Bat is dead in this new universe, leaving the Bat-family to quell the chaos erupting on the streets of Gotham City. Thus, a fresh narrative has made room for a different approach to combat encounters and gameplay.
Bad timing aside, Gotham Knights also has classic "resentful younger sibling" syndrome. It tries to stand apart from Rocksteady's Arkham games - still probably the best superhero adaptations on offer - while also riding their Kevlar coat-tails. It's a weird mix of cash-in and act of rebellion. And that brings us to Gotham Knights ($69.99). This open-world action-RPG isnβt a horrible way to beat up bad guys with friends on your Xbox Series S, but itβs bogged down with tedious, trend 0QxUi.
